(CNT) – Last night (Dec. 6th, 2021) Becks Lawson introduced House Resolution 070, introducing an inquiry into the workings of Public Works, calling for the Secretary of the Legislation to establish a committee to audit Public Works and privately assessing the data. It will be a one time process, to create a documented record of government transactions and incoming funds
The Committee will consist of:
The Secretary of the Legislature
The Treasurer of the Legislature
Major Crimes Department
A “Private Sector Accountant”
But don’t worry, John Q. Public. All of the information will be released only to the committee, and not to the public. Once again maintaining the iron curtain around any kind of public transparency:
I will point out. The bill cuts off at the word “will” and does not continue.
Once again, the public gets no accountability, and there is no legal provisions under the current bill as written to have the right to release this information to the public.
