EAST VINEWOOD, SA (CNT) – The CNT debates 1-12-31 were interrupted as shots rang out under the platform at the entrance of the Casino. This may be some of the bravest behavior from candidates we’ve seen as Merryweather made sure we were all safe while the Los Santos Police Department LSPD raced to track down those responsible. Not only did they continue to debate but all also refused when offered to leave early via evacuation helicopter. As the debate continues shots fired returned again and including a motorbike explosion. Again the candidates refused to leave and wished to continue.
The gunman unidentified at this time was presumably working alone. Masked and on a cruiser style motorcycle. Drove around and opened up fire the second time only to have Merryweather and LSPD open fire. The motorcycle then ignited while the rider was fleeing. The only person injured by the explosion was the rider. Due to Hippa concerns and an open LSPD investigation the gunman’s identity and affiliation are currently unknown.
Statement from Eva Byrne head of Merryweather:
“Due to the direct efforts of the professionals here at Merryweather, we were able to assist in securing the safety and integrity of the debates tonight. I would like to personally thank LSPD for their coordination and swift response, as well as the employees of CNT for their cooperation during the unfortunate shooting. We are thankful to report that there was no loss of life or serious injury.”
Statement from Ramses Thompson CEO of CNT:
“It is highly unfortunate that events with any amount of people require such advanced security. I was aware of threats against some of the Candidates and in order to ensure their safety we chose the upper casino due to its limited access and we chose to limit the number of invites. I believe our choices to do so limited the impact of this attack.
This to me is a classic case of someone wanting to rule us by fear and terror. We as Americans have said time and time again. Do you think you’re special trying to use violence, Go fuck yourself we will not be ruled by tyrants big or small.”
